Mr. Crayton - Music
Hi, my name is Morris Crayton. I have been teaching music all my life at all levels from PK to High School. I graduated from Lamar High School in Arlington ISD. I earned my undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Baylor University, my master’s in music education degree from Kent State University and did doctoral work in education at Walden University but still need to complete a dissertation. My music career began in the Austin TX area where I taught music for several private schools and founded the Austin Boys Choir. From there I taught music for Manor ISD and Pflugerville ISD. My wife and I eventually moved to Ft. Worth where I taught private voice for the Texas Girls Choir and began teaching for Ft. Worth ISD at West Handley Elementary.
I have five children and two grandchildren all who live in the Austin area. I lost my wife Margarita several years ago. I was however blessed with another wonderful life partner, Blanca. We have been married for about four years. She is from Ecuador. I’m so grateful that she is a special part of my life. We love going to Austin every chance we get to visit with my children and grandchildren. She also has two sons living here in DFW and we visit with them often.
I love being a West Handley Elementary and feel very privileged to work with the children here!
